Vision of the Pentecost Movement/ Korean American Pentecost Community
My dear friends,
For the last 30 years, I have lived a new life in Grace of Pentecost morning. Eagerly, our Korean American friends and I have lived together and devoted ourselves to serve for Grace of Pentecost Morning. After 20 years of Services for the Korean communities in the Americas, I have served as the KCS chairman, finally retired. The result of this is this new book, . With the publication of this book, I have vowed before the Lord to devote the rest of my life for the Pentecost movement for my church community and its relation to the world.
When I remember the bygone days when I was unsure if I could fully continue the road of consistent service, I first thank the Lord for his grace and your support as my companions.
I hereby devote the rest of my life as consecrated to the Lord through Grace of Pentecost Morning. I hope its message persuades all of you to pray for cooperation and participation in following our Lord’s guidance.
is a new title that complements the change in content from the 2009 publication Life in the Holy Spirit printed in Seoul, S. Korea. Life in the Holy Spirit was printed under the Korean Services Committee (KSC), distributed at KSC seminars. This new book, however, contains a compilation of publications under the Korean American Pentecost Community (KAPC). Grace of Pentecost Morning contains the modified contents and supplementary articles printed in Life in the Holy Spirit with changed mastheads.
In commitment to this new book, our community and I as CEO have represented the KAPC to the US-IRS tax exception foundation on March 19 2015, and opened www.pentecostmorning.com, along with quarterly distribution of the KAPC newsletter.
KAPC is a Christian open community, faithful to the Grace of Pentecost Morning. In the future, we hope to be a humble representational body that serves the wider Pentecostal Christian community in the Americas and the world.
Korea, as a nation, has historically progressed through trials and tribulations as did the chosen people of Israel. In the future, Israel will be jealous of a foolish nation (Romans 10; 19). I am confident that the date of Korean unity will be the day of God’s hidden chosen people to open up to the whole world.
Five thousand years ago, when Great King Dan-gun founded Cho-Sun (The first Korean Kingdom) he set the national vision of <弘益人間 四海同胞 (홍익인간 사해동포)> that was for the benefit of all the people of the whole world. This establishment was unprecedented in world history and was one that heard God’s will.
Two hundred years ago, during the evangelization of the Gospel of Christ to the Oriental countries, it was not foreign missionaries who taught the Gospel but Korean natives who taught amongst each other. So our Korean Catholic church is unique in this respect in the history of evangelization.
The members of the KAPC that live here in the United States are descendants of this Korean Catholic lineage. The fire of grace started in the morning of Pentecost in Jerusalem 2000 years ago which will manifest itself again in a unified Korea that shines brightly to the world. One Korea as a nation (Romans 10; 19) will shine the light in the Orient.
The Pentecostal movement is not a simple spiritual church movement. Throughout history and society, it has challenged us to create an innovative movement to change people’s being through a new life in Christ, and to see the realization of international peace by making a new era for all people.
This is all within the will of God. The Holy Spirit is God’s leading fire, our vocation to accept the Lord’s call into the center of the Christian Community. It is the fire that renews all things, the light that guides our community, and the driving force of our services.
‘Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear not, for you are with me.’
+ Believe in the Trinity and always pray to God to be able to walk with our Lord !
